On Thursday 2nd November, the Rushton Hickman team attended a quiz night at The Pirelli Stadium to support the YMCA. By the end of the night, over £2000 was raised!

The charity quiz night was organised by Alexander Accountancy, to raise money for the YMCA.

Lots of people from various local businesses attended the event, including the fantastic sponsors – Dains Accountants, Else Solicitors, Alexander Accountancy, Burton Albion, Profusion Wealth Management & Reflex Print.

The night began with an introduction from Paul Lafferty, Chief Executive at Burton YMCA and a video to highlight the need for their services. This also showcased their commitment to providing a supportive and safe environment for those who are homeless over their 3 sites within Burton upon Trent, which includes 71 rooms. They also provide practical and emotional support to ensure clients can address their past and learn practical skills for the future.

The quiz commenced with a true and false round followed by eight rounds of questions covering a variety of areas such as music, geography and foods from around the world. We enjoyed a lovely hot food buffet and the night ended with a raffle and auction.

It was evident that everyone in attendance was ready for a fun-filled evening and was eager to dig deep to raise money for the local cause!
