Burton based commercial property agents Rushton Hickman Ltd has let 1,863 sq. ft (173.1 sq. m) of first floor restaurant space located at 25/26 Station Street in Burton upon Trent town centre. The premises had previously traded successfully for 25 years as the Kwei Ping Chinese Restaurant which closed due to the owner’s retirement.
Rushton Hickman Commercial Property Agent Simon Walker said “We are delighted to have agreed terms and recently completed the lease on another commercial property in the Burton town centre. A high quality, up market Chinese Restaurant will certainly be welcomed by the residents of Burton and the surrounding areas, and we wish Taohua and the business owners the very best of success in this new eatery venture.”
`Taohua’ will officially open on 1st September 2022 as a new high quality contemporary Chinese Bar and Restaurant.
Restauranteur, Mr Alan Ou said “Taohua restaurant has a modern elegant design with a centrepiece cherry blossom tree and water features. The name ‘Taohua’ translates literally as ‘Cherry Blossom’. We have carried out a whole restaurant renovation with our architects designing a classy modern interior including a brand new real marble bar and a comfortable dining area.”
“Along with an extensive range of wines, spirits and cocktails, we also have many specially selected Chinese and Asian alcohols exported directly from Asia, creating a new and unique cocktail experience in Burton for all to try.”
“We also have a simplified menu which allows us to focus on the quality of our ingredients and dishes. We are using fresh and locally sourced produce and have partnered with local businesses to bring the best ingredients into our kitchen. Our menu is designed by our head chef, who is passionate about combining traditional flavours with modern techniques and has worked alongside Michelin trained chefs at Southampton’s prestigious `Shanghai 1814’ restaurant.”
“We will be offering evening and lunchtime services. A unique offering is our lunchtime Chinese tapas selections menu as no other Chinese restaurants in the region currently offering Chinese style tapas. It is the perfect place for customers looking for a light lunch amidst the shopping scenery of Burton.”
“I would personally like to say a big thank you to Rushton Hickman for providing an excellent service from the first viewing of the property to the lease completion and a special mention to their Agent, Simon Walker, who I found to be very helpful and efficient throughout the whole process of leasing the premises.”
Rushton Hickman Director Mark Richardson commented “It is good to see yet another new business opening in Burton town centre. I’m sure it will be a great addition to the increasingly popular local hospitality and leisure sector as well as the Burton economy in general. As the letting agent it’s always pleasing to be recognised for our efforts in getting deals done, so well done to Simon for getting this one agreed.”
