The annual Burton 10k run, a beloved event in the town, is back and this year, a dedicated team from Rushton Hickman are rising to the challenge to raise money for YMCA Burton.

The course, known for its challenging hills, offers picturesque views of Burton upon Trent, with the last 400 metres on the athletics track at Shobnall Sport Centre. The event is set to take place on Sunday 11th August. To sign up and join the team, visit: https://www.avtiming.com/burton10k

In 2023:

🔑129 people had a safe place to call home.
⚖420 hours of counselling delivered.
👨‍👩‍👦‍👦480 hours of mediation facilitated to families.
🍽3,468 food parcels were distributed, providing emergency food to 6,005 people, with 1,700 of those being children. This equates to 54,000 meals!

Jade Martin, Associate Director at Rushton Hickman, explained that the team’s motivation to fundraise for YMCA Burton stemmed from their admiration for the organisation’s work. She expressed, “By supporting YMCA Burton, we are investing in the future of our community, ensuring that all people have access to the tools and support they need. The impact YMCA Burton has is undeniable and we are honoured to be able to help raise funds and awareness for this amazing charity, which serves as a significant source of inspiration for the Burton Community.”
